Snowshoeing Tours are being offered!
Conditions: Snow coverage can be spotty depending on exposure. There is a hard base underneath crusty snow if you seek out the the sheltered areas especially on the north facing slopes. Our tour areas are just fine, the snowshoes providing excellent traction in variable snowpack and in some places ice. The backcountry forest is gorgeous. Definately will have a good base for the weekend of Jan 31-Feb,1.
Forecast: No thaws in the forecast with potentials for a winter storm starting Sunday night and going into Monday. More snow on Tuesday and the weekend of Jan 31st and Feb 1 looks nice and crisp and wintery.
Long term forecasts have been way off. It's been more wintery than forecast 2 weeks ago and temps seem to be revising downward everyday. Will we have a another 80+ inches of snow in March like last year? So.... we are just waiting to see what Holds for February???
Ski trails at Herrington Manor closed.

We are accepting reservations for tours January through February. Winter appears to be coming on strong.
